Mr & Mrs Battye

Love

After meeting with Simon and Felicity before the wedding I was excited to see how they had planned out their big day. We had agreed that I would start with the girls at the hotel and then make my way to East Riddlesden hall to get a few shots of the Boys before the ceremony.
It’s always great taking photos before the ceremony and today was really great – I managed to get a good few photos of all the kids livening up the room whilst the grown ups got ready. Watching the excitement of the bride having her hair done at the same time as the excitement of the kids whilst bouncing 6 feet in the air, was all good fun in the run up to the ceremony.
I then managed to set off and meet Simon and his Groomsmen at the venue – when we arrived we had a good walk around the beautiful hall with all the guys and took some super shots. It’s great to see the nervous excitement in the groom along with the pure fear of the best man at the thought of his upcoming speech. In all seriousness everyone looked calm and excited and we just had a quick chat about what was best for Simon. After a short walk around we went back to the hall and I got a good look around what was an amazingly decorated hall, I instantly fell in love with the LOVE sign behind the alter.

Once the beautiful bride arrived Simon used his Sunday league football skills to scarper quickly inside and the countdown began.
It was very beautiful inside the barn and it was lovely to see Felicity and all of her bridesmaids make their way down the aisle, capturing their little glances to one another along with all of the smiles from everyone at the wedding.
After the ceremony we took the new Mr & Mrs B around the gardens to take some intimate shots, and we managed to get the whole family involved with some great photos of all four Battye’s.
The day seemed to fly by, and before I knew it everyone had finished their fantastic food and the speeches were well under way. All 3 speeches went down a treat and it’s great to hear the unique stories from the family.
It was a fantastic day, with lots of smiling faces and I wish Mr & Mrs B all the happiness in the future – it was a pleasure to be even a small part of their special day.
