The day started like any other August Friday in Yorkshire, cloudy with a chance of sunshine, rain, sleet and snow ;) We wouldnt have it any other way would we. Anway, lucky for us it turned out to be nice and sunny.
As I parked up in Thunder bridge, Huddersfield I couldn't help be excited for Sam and Cameron's big day. ThunderBridge has a gorgeous little street leading down to old stone bridge. The woodman Inn sits overlooking the street and it sits right at the bottom of the beautiful Yorkshire valley.
Approaching the groomsmen with smiles on their faces, I noticed Jack, the best man, receiving his final touches, while the groom, Sam, was laughing with his friends. I seized the opportunity to take some photos and gather the guys for pre-wedding shots.
Following that, I allowed everyone to get comfortable and prepared to greet the bride, Sam. Her hotel room at the Woodman Inn was just a 15-second walk away, so I quickly went over to capture the Bridal party as they made the brief journey across the road and down to the wedding venue.
After some final pre ceromony drinks, family and friends packed in the garden room across from the barn and as the groom nervously looked on as we waited for Sam to arrive.
One of my favorite moments is witnessing the groom see the bride for the first time, and I always capture that initial glance. The ceremony was beautiful, with Sam and Cameron exchanging their personal vows, and soon they were announced as Mr. and Mrs. Turner.
After indulging in a few well deserved drinks, we attempted to wrangle our group for some family photos. Then the newlyweds managed to escape for a romantic photoshoot by the river.
Once we took the family and friends portarits, I sat back and let the party start. Taking natural shots attempting to capture everone having a blast. The meal came around quickly and then it was time for speaches and then... shots... plenty of shots.
After the speeches were finished, the DJ started playing, signaling it was time for everyone to unwind. I stayed a bit longer to capture the first dance, then departed, leaving the group to enjoy their evening.
Thanks so much to Mr and Mrs Turner for letting me be apart of there special day and I hope they have a wonderful life together :)
